Translation
This web site has mostly been translated into English. Especially the Participant Rules and Regulations were translated with much care so they are equal to the German text.
The translation of most pages into other languages is planned. However the main emphasis will be on the navigation. There will be NO translation of the participation rules & regulation.

DeutschlandMeine "Laufkarriere" begann mit einer verdrehten Idee: Ein Schulfreund schlug mir Anfang des Jahres 2006 vor, dass wir den Dresden-Marathon im gleichen Jahr (Oktober) zusammen laufen könnten. Ich hatte zwar bis dahin öfters vom Marathon geträumt, aber hatte mich selbst nie so recht getraut. Es folgten Monate des Trainings, der Aufregung, der Vorfreude und der Anspannung. Es war ein unbeschreibliches Gefühl, den Marathon zu beenden. Jetzt, 4 Jahre später, gehöre ich bereits zu den "Marathon-Sammlern". Dieses Jahr möchte ich mehr als 1 pro Woche laufen. Aktuell sind es 52 x Marathon und mehr, wobei mir am liebsten die "kleinen" Läufe sind. Der Deutschlandlauf 2010 wird - neben dem Baltic Run 2010 - mein erster großer Etappenlauf.
